  • Denise Burgess

    President and CEO

    Denise Burgess, our President and CEO joined the company in 1994 and received her certificate in construction management from the University of Denver. She assumed leadership of the company after her father, Clyde Burgess' untimely passing in 2002. Burgess Services’ accomplishments during her tenure include the City and County of Denver Justice Center, The Corp of Engineers Southeastern Headquarters in Miami, Florida and the Westin Hotel at the Denver International Airport.

    Denise's current community involvement activities and most recent service awards include:

    - City of Denver’s Construction Empowerment Initiative Task Force

    The Burgess Family Fund was established through the Denver Foundation in 2013 with a goal of funding the education of minority women of interested in STEM and construction.


  • Sackor Dennis

    Senior Project Manager

    Sackor has over six years of experience in construction management. His specialty is in project management, quality control, and assurance engineering with large multimillion dollar contracts. Mr. Dennis oversaw the Denver International Airport South Terminal Redevelopment project and has worked on several contracts with government, municipal, and military projects.

    Sackor has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a Certified Quality Control Inspector by the U.S. Corp of Engineers.


  • Willie Shepherd

    General Counsel and Vice President of Development

    Willie Shepherd graduated from Tulane University, where he began his career as a renowned lawyer, specializing in real estate and commercial transactional issues. He has deep experience in disciplines pertaining to development, land use, and zoning. Named Denver's 2009 “Person to Watch” by the Denver Post, Mr. Shepard brings experience as an attorney in large projects, including the Stapleton International Airport, Lowry Air Force Base redevelopments, the Denver Convention Center Hotel project, and the Denver Art Museum.


  • Gary Jensen

    QA/QC Project Manager

    Gary’s experience in the construction industry spans over 40 years. His project management experience includes designing HVAC systems, mechanical electrical coordination and interface, plumbing systems, fire alarm and smoke controls, and elevator systems. Gary has worked on over thirty-seven projects with the city, federal government, and commercial businesses.

    Gary was responsible for the Tabor Center Retail renovation, the Colorado Convention expansion project, and numerous projects with the U.S. Army Corps.
